But there’s some good news for home buyers in the ocala area , even if it’s not a dramatic change. Three things are going on: housing price growth has slowed; inventory is creeping up and more sellers are lowering their prices. That’s big news—according to some of largest metros areas , the number of listings with price cuts is going up. In fact, price reductions are at their highest levels since 2014.

Here’s where it gets a little more complicated. These are small, early signs of relief for home buyers, not a huge market shift. And the price cuts are happening in very specific places. Not just certain cities, but certain neighborhoods within those cities. For example, in Ocala Florida  a substantial amount of  listings had at least one price reduction between August 2017 and August 2018.

Another Good sign that this is a good time to buy in the Ocala Real Estate Market is there are a substantial amount o new homes being built. The interesting thing is that it cost approximately the same amount to buy a home built in  2018 as it would cost to buy one built in 2005.
